Origami Crane Folding - a community art project

  • Pope Mountain Arts 675 Birch Street Fort St. James, BC Canada (map)

We are thrilled to partner with the Fort St. James ~ Nawhulnukw Bayoh Public Library for a community art project. Community members are invited to join us for an afternoon of folding origami paper cranes. Selected cranes will be used to create an art installation that will hang from the ceiling above the Children’s area in the library. We hope you will join us to help create this beautiful piece of art that symbolizes peace, hope and healing.

This event is open to all who are interested. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Previous origami experience is not required as we will show you how to make the folds.

There is no cost to attend. Completed cranes will become the property of the Fort St. James Public Library. The project coordinators from PMA and the Library will determine which cranes will be used in the installation.
