Introduction to Square-in-Square Quilting Method

  • Pope Mountain Arts 675 Birch Street Fort St. James, BC Canada (map)

Are you new to quilting, or an experienced quilter who wants to learn the square-in-square quilting method? Great! This class will cover both. Join Linda Connolly and Joan MacGillivray (along with other members of the Fort St. James Quilting Group) as they guide you through a day of cutting, piecing, and sewing!

If you already have the book (Jodi Barrows - Quick and Easy Quilting) and the five-technique ruler, you only need to pay a $25 class fee. Linda and Joan have kindly offered to donate the entire class fee to Pope Mountain Arts!

If you are NOT familiar with the square-in-square technique, the instructors request you wait until the class before starting your quilt project.

Please review the supplies list to ensure you come prepared with the required materials. There will be a cutting mat and general sewing rulers for those interested in trying quilting before investing in tools.

As this is a full-day class, we suggest you bring a lunch (including drinks). Bottled water and cold beverages are available for sale ($2 each).

Note: the FSJ Quilting Group quilts together on the first Saturday of each month. You are welcome to attend the monthly event in October and/or November (drop-in fee is $10 pp). Group members will learn how to use the 4 and 9 patch rulers. Everyone is welcome to work on their own projects.
