Elsa Berland, Lusilyoo - Frog Clan. A Dene Cree Designer, born and raised in Dakelh Territory (Fort St. James, BC).

Elsa uses traditional Native mediums to create unique jewelry pieces, and does her best to use this as a way to stay connected to her culture. She has been beading as an adult for just over ten years. She learned as a child from her Carrier Class teacher Florence Sam, and carries on the tradition in her family following her maternal Grandmother Sally Prince and paternal Grandmother Nancy Berland. Though she doesn't get a lot of traditional work done, she is inspired and motivated by the many great beaders/sewers before her. Awet'za.
